Dear friends,

We hope this finds you safe and well during this unusual time.

It is with a feeling of great sadness and inevitability that we are cancelling Bread & Circus for 2020 due to the current uncertainty around coronavirus (COVID-19).

To those of you that have purchased tickets – you will receive a full refund and be notified in the coming days.

There is no denying that the effects of COVID-19 are proving both dramatic and widespread across all industries, and undoubtedly so for those that specialise in bringing people together.

Our festivals offer independent producers a chance to get in front of a passionate audience (you) and showcase their craft while providing you, our audience, with the opportunity to connect with the source, meet your heroes and purchase direct.

After an already tough start to the year for many of our producer friends due to the devastating bushfires and drought, we, as a community must come together to offer our support and keep their businesses alive. At a time like this, having an  understanding of who makes your food, where it comes from and how it was made has never been more critical.

Where possible, we encourage you to seek out and support small, independent producers. Where you put your food dollars really matters and has a direct and immediate impact on those who make it, their staff and their families. So please, if you can, buy from the little guy and buy direct.

I would like to say a huge thanks to all of you for your encouragement, support and understanding during this time. We wholeheartedly believe in this event and we look forward to returning bigger and better in 2021 – with more to celebrate than ever before.

Stay safe, stay strong and most importantly, stay healthy.

Kind Regards,

Dan Sims
